For example, Chromebooks allow me to focus on time management skills necessary to participate in classroom instruction using these devices and implement crossover technology skills necessary for these students. As a teacher, I can transform current content standard grade-level expectations into common core learning requirements. The students get it.
Additionally, Chrome (and specifically Chromebooks) gives my students the ability to create, edit, and publish documents in any classroom, and at home, and know they will be preserved in the Chrome/Google cloud. Finally, as an English teacher, understanding how this educational technology works will take a leading role in demonstrating the transfer of Common Core State Standards [CCSS] as our students participate in the writing, delivery, and distribution of content to their intended audience. The ease of student participation using Chromebooks and other assistive technology will give me the opportunity to continue to supply appropriate structures and program modifications to create positive experiences for my students.
